As a democratic Socialist myself- and a registered Democrat in Rhode
Island- I am a " critical supporter " of Bernie Sanders. The wisdom of
the generic Left is that the Democratic Party will put anybody's "
socialist soul " in peril. But any HUMAN institution is plastic enough
to take risks. Being too long around the narcissist celebrity culture is
also not healthy for honest socialists.
The Democratic Party establishment would like to use but control Bernie Sanders.Talk about " political revolution " is always dangerous to the ruling class.
A socialist must stay on message whatever damage that does to capitalist news media IMAGE.Senator Robert Kennedy-not a socialist yet called " President of the Other America "- had a favorite word for the injustices of this society: " unacceptable ".
That needed gravitas is not the stuff of " Saturday Night Live .Voters in Democratic primaries who think " enough is enough " of Hillary will say what they think on primary day : " We need a political revolution ". And the pragmatic face of it is not Hillary Clinton.
Oct 31, 2015 - Who does Bernie Sanders look like to you? A socialist? A “crazy wacko cuckoo bird?” To me, he looks and sounds a lot like Robert Kennedy.
