What
does Hillary's " pragmatic " case against " socialist " Bernie Sanders
boil down to ? We live in a capitalist society because the ruling class
wants it that way. And so does she . Socialism is anathema to ALL those
Republicans and many Democrats. But there is something even independent
of Hillary and her ruling class: the force of history, the class
struggle. How many revolutions have triumphed despite the objections-
and the organized violence- of the ruling class ? Next year we celebrate
the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution: " Ten Days That Shook
The World ". Lenin's Bolsheviks inspired the workers of the whole world.
Even Eugene V. Debs admired him.
History has not ended. The oppressed and exploited masses are still the grave diggers of rotten global capitalism.
A Socialist is one who above all questions and challenges the moral legitimacy of " legitimate " wealth.
Did not the Southern slaves masters just say NO to the freedom of the vast black slave population ?
And History does not end with wage slavery and the Wall St. " free market ".
Most of the civilized world accepts some form of socialism. That dream did not die with the collapse of the Stalinist Soviet Union. Democratic Socialism will not fade away.
