Did vulgar AMERICANISM corrupt pristine Catholicism in the USA ?

True enough , in general so called MODERNISM has polluted the Catholic conscience here.
Sad to see how the Catholic Church hierarchy in the United States made an idolatrous peace with militarism -as if this were really " God's Country ".

What passes for AMERICANISM in the 21st century is more and more hostile to freedom of religion , hostile to Catholic AND Protestant tradition .
The mainstream news media makes anti-Catholicism the last acceptable bigotry. But last time I checked even the American Catholic Church believed in OBJECTIVE REALITY - like a boy is a boy and a girl is a girl . Only the Harvard educated elite will dispute this . They seem to have made an alliance with the obnoxious New Atheism . So has the Democrat Party .
And white working class Christians are the new " deplorable " pariahs in politically correct USA - wallowing in " hate ", THEY say , no matter how often we quote Christ's " Sermon on the Mount ".
