Hi Ron,
Well - you seem to have embraced an expressive and creative new art form– YouTube short videos! And the medium seems to love you right back! These little "moments" you produce are quite captivating. I especially enjoy the ones that speak for themselves (with little or no voice-over). The title you attach to the post says it all. Some of them I perceive as a unique form of video "koan" - (a paradoxical anecdote or riddle, used in Zen Buddhism to demonstrate the inadequacy of logical reasoning and to provoke enlightenment.")
That they are not polished productions makes them stand apart for their honesty and authenticity.
I also enjoy the music you attach to them. Your latest piece: "Walking in the dark still arouses primal fear" was simply brilliant! It gave me goosebumps!
From the homeless on the steps of Providence City Hall, the rats at Kennedy Plaza to the blathering Gene Valicenti, you've managed to capture local, personal and important "moments" – worthy of contemplation. Keep this up as I think you're on to something here.
Talk soon!
Steve
