CRAZY Dave incident again , Steve

    Steve , another  Dave G neurotic dementia incident . I wish now I could  quickly change my phone number. Yesterday  Dean G , his son ( Dave has alienated all three of his sons ) ,  called me in the Cranston Public Library once again asking for Dave's phone number. I gave it to him. Dave calls me about an hour later wanting to know if I can loan him some money before he gets his social security money ( usually $50 to $70) . So he can  rent a car which he cannot afford . I explained that I had to pay my air conditioner bill this week and I have to put money aside for a family wedding, brother Ray's grandson.. Nevertheless, I told Dave that I would loan him $70 . I told him that Dean called and I gave Dean his phone number  thinking that a son should have his 74 year old father's phone number.  Yesterday afternoon Dave  calls me with senile rage in his voice : " I told you not to give Dean my phone number!  " . ( really a WIFE of 50 years would not put up with this abuse !  ) . I said right away : " Don't come over tomorrow . I am not giving you a cent ' ( Dave lives in Mass., near Boston) .   In PANIC I guess  he calls 5 or 6 times at night . And then again  early this morning . I was afraid to turn off my phone as some family member might have an important message for me.. 

                       Guess who shows up looking MAD at the Cranston Public Library shortly after it opened at 9 o'clock AM ?  He approached me and made a scene - self centered monster that he is .  I said , " please leave ". . The woman security guard ( familiar with Dave's past scenes in the library ) arrives to escort him out and threatens to call the police. 

                      Is it wise to loan a guy who is in a senile rage over NOTHING a chunk of my monthly income . It would have been very risky anyway without  THE INCIDENT .

                       Dave is an old consistently NEUROTIC friend but I have FINALLY ( ???  ) had enough of him. 

                       Imagine coming all the way from Boston  in that cracked  state of mind and approach me in a PUBLIC library in an uncivil way . The security guard thought that DAVE even LOOKED deranged !
