It is amazing how insidious bourgeois ideology prevents ordinary decent people from having a rational insight into the root cause of major social problems . Whenever I say in an on line comment in mainstream news media " private property keeps people homeless" the reaction is a typical " Shut up " . We must not even THINK along those lines. Why ? Because private property rights are sacred in capitalist society. Only a MASS socialist party- with thousands of ordinary working people in it, not tyrannized by an obtuse and self-important bureaucracy, will make the ABCs of socialism self-evident to most people. As George Orwell said : " Socialism should be obvious ". Like 2+2=4. But MASS parties do not come into existence over night.
