Scary incident on RIPTA 21 bus this morning , April , 19, 2023 (just past 9:00 AM , leaving Warwick Mall )

Passengers on RIPTA bus 21 this morning just leaving the Warwick Mall after 9:00 AM were furious at the bus driver who halted the bus to talk with his doctor about his deteriorating health. It is only human nature that illness and the fear that goes with it tends to make us unpleasantly self-centered. The driver had previously explained to me why he delayed opening the bus door at the Warwick Mall stop. I understood , I said. Nobody riding RIPTA these past few years can be guaranteed that the bus will even show up -not just be on schedule. Keep this in mind when you have any appointments ! I think the male passengers heard screaming at the bus driver on my video were more rude than the RIPTA bus driver. For a moment I thought they were going to slug him. But they just called the RIPTA office to complain - hoping that he would lose his job for this unprofessional insolence.
