Inspired from youth by Albert Camus' sense of the Absurd, I try to be a voice for REASON in the growing darkness and moral insanity of global capitalism .

A record to which I listened with " Dream Time " nostalgia - " Splendor in the Grass " music from the movie
When Providence, RI radio station was closed down circa 1986 ( ? ) my father who was employed there for many years as " Don Rogers " of " Dream Time " fame came home ( with the station management 's permission ) with most of their vast collection of now " old fashioned " but now quite valuable vinyl long playing records. They ended up in a neat studio in the basement of our Rutherglen Ave., Cranston home. I spent hours downstairs listening to Pop's treasury of classical and " POP " music. This was just one of those records I listened to with " Dream Time " nostalgia . By the way the ending of that movie " Splendor in the Grass " had a near tear jerker ending : actress Natalie Wood returning from " therapy " ( after a frustrated love inspired nervous breakdown ) only to see her own true love " Bud " HAPPY with wife and child on his farm .
[ Deanie remembers the words of the poem she learned in school: “Though nothing can bring back the hour/of splendor in the grass,/Glory in the flower,/We will grieve not, but rather find/Strength in what remains behind.”]
I saw the movie in 1962 with my older brother Ricky ( who passed away in 2014 ) when I was just 15 years old . It was HOT by the moral standards of the time.
