Useless, empty URI EXTENSION LIBRARY in downtown Providence, Rhode Island
A Malcolm X poster on the window of the URI Extension Library in downtown Providence blandly describes the fiery black revolutionist as a " civil rights activist " promoting EDUCATION as the path to THE FUTURE. Oddly enough for two years now , passing the URI Extension Library, I never see behind those big windows ( with edifying posters on display ) any STUDENTS inside . Before COVID-19 even the public was welcome in there. So much for the promised ACCESS to education !
