It is really this simple: the real socialists recognize the reality of class war and the necessity for class struggle political organizations.And that the freedom of CAPITAL has become incompatible with the human dignity of the working class. Some vague " middle way " is the pathetic daydream of petty bourgeois " leftists " everywhere.

I never in my life encountered a working class person with some innate hostility to the truths set down in " The Communist Manifesto ". Not even a fog of religious mysticism can hide the class enemy . To be sure , there were elements of " socialism " in early Christianity.

I like Leon Trotsky's description of one phony American socialist as the " ideal socialist leader for successful dentists ". And -no surprise here- he lived in a nice big expensive house which no working class party member could afford.

I myself heard one of this type say : " We want a COMFORTABLE revolution".
