The number of arrests suggests that this was no Banana Republic coup.
Turkey is a NATO country on the brink of civil war. We should have
learned from the Vietnam moral and military catastrophe not to get
involved in the internal conflicts in areas of the world where we are
really just cultural illiterates.
Turkey is now an insufferable
ally for any country that calls itself " democratic ". We should just
get out of Turkey - military bases and all.
We should give up
the Bush Crusade altogether. These arrogant foreign military adventures
do not protect Americans at home- in the least- from " international
terrorism ".
What use are nuclear weapons against ISIS ? We can
junk most of our military force and be all the safer for it. Corporate
America might be a little upset . So what ? Majority rules here ?
