No slave master class ever respected its slaves

As a democratic socialist I agree with the traditional socialist analysis of " racism " in individuals and class society in general. The right wing Republican Donald Trump is no more a KKK type racist than old Joe Kennedy was a fanatical anti-Semite. He is a victim of an " illiberal liberal " news media smear campaign.

Way back in 1965 Black Muslim Malcolm X - a serious student of American racism- made a connection between racism and capitalism and racism and U.S. imperialism. No slave master class ever respected its slaves. And this truth applies to modern capitalist wage slavery. If you suspect your boss " looks down " on you, you are probably right.

" The Power Elite " by radical sociologist C. Wright Mills is still instructive and relevant on the structure of American society.

What does our New Colonialism do to eradicate Islamophobia ?

[ Mills remained aware, unsurprisingly, that prestige ‘is the shadow of money and power’. Members of the higher political, economic and military circles,  comprising the power elite:
‘are celebrated because of the positions they occupy and the decisions they command. They are celebrities because they have prestige, and they have prestige because they are thought to have power and wealth. It is true that they, too, must enter the world of publicity, become material for the mass media, but they are sought as material almost irrespective of what they do on and to these media’.]
