Organized Labor's interest in Rhode Island Red Sox

  •  I would  love to read in news that " a specter is haunting America- the specter of an ORGANIZED LABOR REVIVAL." But the present leaders of what is left of organized labor are not inspired by any working class idealism. For them it is Johnny Friendly-ism all the way.
A revived union movement would organize the unorganized and teach the ABCs of capitalist exploitation to the workers. The new leaders would not even socialize with the boss class.
The present union leaders have a very dulled social conscience. They can't even imagine union leaders like Eugene V.Debs ever existed.
Debs was a Socialist and would never have advised organized workers to just VOTE DEMOCRAT. He would have insisted on more " rank and file input " , more union democracy.
I think Debs would have enjoyed watching the All American game-baseball - in a McCoy Stadium not made ugly by capitalist advertising - and by fat cat union leaders and fat cat owners( Duhamel and Skeffington ) smiling together in those RESERVED seats.
