Doris Day - Que Sera Sera

As a diversion from my favored classical music I played this pop music from the 1950s and 1960s . At age 76 I still wonder why the ephemeral emotions of love sick teenage is the bulk of ALL popular music back then ? Reading about the life of Elvis Presley I learned that as he passed age 40 he wondered if still singing fatuous juvenile love songs was not a little ridiculous . Perhaps old Charles Darwin ( did he quite unintentionally kill BOTH God and Romance ? ) and the much later discovery of DNA best explain the endurance of the " love-sick " popular song. An pleasing exception to it was Doris Day singing " Que sera, sera " . But still " Love makes the world go round " . It really
