Governor McKee has a certain always winning " charm ". As governor of Rhode Island. he is at least no worse than the others. But as a long time independent democratic socialist I am still amazed how " successful " Democrat or Republican politicians fail to see the obvious. Almost all of them are college educated and invariably " nice " by civilized world standards. But at no time in their formative years were they exposed to COGENT criticism of their capitalist system. If they were , for even the brightest among them, it was like water off the proverbial duck's back With news of the Wall Street Stock Market going up and up ( that generally means that rich are getting richer ) whence comes the mandate to cut government spending to the bone ? Even the elderly in nursing homes are not spared . Not even kids in public schools with some HOPE ( so Rhode Island ! ) for a better future ? Any THOUGHTS about this ? ( apart from go live in China ! Which is hardly " communist " )
