The capitalist system must pretend to solve all " poverty" connected problems by making the rich richer. All the well-meaning here , "progressive " Democrats refuse to see that the homeless will never have real HOMES unless now sacrosanct LANDLORD PRIVATE PROPERTY rights are revoked not by legalistic arguments within the framework of the American Constitution - that is inherently impossible ! - but by inherently revolutionary POPULAR democracy. What makes democratic socialism more than a Platonic , utopian fantasy is the reality of CLASS STRUGGLE in capitalist society. The vast majority of the American working class -and more and more of the once solid middle class - just have no economic basis for being PRIVATE PROPERTY fanatics. Naturally, the American ruling capitalist class imagines that a world in which they are on top is just the best of all possible worlds . But what about the REST OF US ?
