@Gary Cable How did American capitalism manage to be more benevolent ( the opinion of WORKING CLASS Americans ? ) than capitalism is in POST-COMMUNIST Russia ? Was it the WISDOM of our Founding Fathers ? The wonder of " OUR democracy " ? Anybody not living under a rock ( even a very comfortable , luxurious one ) knows that CAPITALISM is hardly a workers paradise for the vast majority of exploited and oppressed working class people in the United States. And way back in 1965 Black Muslim leader Malcolm X made a connection between RACISM and capitalism , between RACISM and imperialism. In a letter to his wife circa 1953 Martin Luther King said he was leaning toward some form of CHRISTIAN socialism. In truth, all forms of SOCIALISM are anathema in the TWO PARTY SYSTEM of the United States -both parties completely subservient to the American plutocracy. My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I will show you a blood sucker ". For several decades now the capitalists of the world have deluded themselves that somehow ( by the grace of Adam Smith and the FREE MARKET ? ) the internal contradictions of capitalism -which Marx wrote about with unmatched intellectual authority - just went away after the collapse of STALINISM in the old Soviet Union. That HISTORY had , in fact ended ! Their fatuous euphoria has come to another GREAT DEPRESSION end . Decaying capitalism needs a foreign enemy! For years now the Democratic Party has promoted the HATE RUSSIA, New McCarthyism . And it shows now complete contempt for the FREE SPEECH , FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Civilization. The so called " socialists " in the silly WOKE Democratic Party imagine that rotten capitalism can somehow be saved and humanized by their phony " Far Left " led by old phony " socialist " Bernie Sanders . What working class people really need in capitalist USA is their own -independent of the ruling class - Labor Party - like the British Labor Party but much more CLASS CONSCIOUS ferocious. This American Labor Party party would never serve as cheer leaders for any future American imperialist wars - nor would it show any jackass enthusiasm for a forever SOVEREIGN Ukraine whose present leader Zelensky is the belligerent , war mongering puppet of effete , moribund , rotting NATO.
