For the record : American capitalist society has been more tolerant of racists than of socialists

 

To be sure , the police do have a very contradictory role : they daily protect the PRIVATE PROPERTY rights of the rich , of the capitalist owning class. But they also represent the principle ORDER ( ORDER vs. CHAOS ) which makes CIVILIZATION possible even in a class divided society. No CHRISTIAN and No HUMANIST would ever say or think that " Police Lives Don't Matter ".

It is a BIG LIE that police are oblivious to the gains of the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT in the past 50 years. The average police officer is no more racist than individuals in any other profession. For democratic socialists CLASS not RACE is the root of much social injustice .

The capitalist system is simple based on social inequality. The people who BUY human labor power can not think about social problems in the same way that people who must SELL their labor power. And the class of academic " intellectuals " are never above the class struggle. In general, the PETTY BOURGEOIS class are always trying to sense which way the political winds are blowing , now on the LEFT , now on the RIGHT .

Any radio talk show host who smiles at " socialism " will soon be frowning at the unemployment office. As Karl Marx said a long time ago : " the ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class ".

For the record American capitalist society- for more than 100 years- has been more tolerant of rabid racists than of serious socialists.
