What Irving Howe's book " World of Our Fathers " teaches about the specific Jewish socialism

This book by still SOCIALIST Irving Howe shows just how much the early socialist movement in the United States owes to the specific JEWISH socialism of the immense working class Jewish immigrants in New York City in the late 19th and early 20th century . Curiously the Marxist Jews were often more animated by hostility to ALL religion -even Judaism - than love for the " international proletariat ". We see this today with the generic LEFT embracing -foolishly- the New Atheists. In fact the biggest mistake of the old Soviet Union was to declare itself " officially ATHEIST ". For the last 50 years all the political passion of Jewish intellectuals has been mostly invested in Zionist Apartheid Israel. How ironic ! And with few exceptions these Jewish " public intellectuals " have made their peace with capitalism and American imperialism ( as a safety net for Israel ) . I read where some of them think that " Socialism is anti-Semitic " . Is that what Karl Marx thought ?
