It was both pathetic and touching that young Anne Frank should say in her famous World War II " Diary " that MOST PEOPLE ARE GOOD AT HEART . What corrupts them ? I do now think that most people are corrupted by their JOB, by the division of labor in society. Listening to a public school bureaucrat on the talk radio 630 WPRO this morning I got the impression that the woman had hollowed out in her rise to the top of her profession. She said nothing that could not be said by a second rate , not well read professional hack . They reach a point where they don't get ANY of their ideas from books or solitary inspiration. They get their functional ideas from their MILIEU, from their social circles. Like successful lawyers they lose touch with the very concepts of TRUTH and OBJECTIVE REALITY .
