As a democratic SOCIALIST I think CLASS not RACE is at the root of social inequality. Way back in 1965 Black Muslim Malcolm X made a connection between racism and imperialism , between racism and capitalism. In 1953 Martin Luther King wrote to his wife that he was leaning toward some form of CHRISTIAN socialism. My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I will show you a blood sucker " . Neither Malcolm X or Martin Luther King would ever slobber over the Democratic Party . It too is a party of HATE . For the last five years it has promoted the HATE RUSSIA , New McCarthyism. The best friends of people of color today are international socialists-not pandering , phony, WOKE Democratic Party politicians . Today using crude vulgar racist language in public is SELF-PUNISHING . It brands a person as ignorant , mean spirited , and uncivilized . It can turn you into a PARIAH among the decent people. That is punishment enough .
