For weeks now he has been living out of his rental car with all his belongings packed into its trunk. Dave is in frail mental and physical health. When I was a young man in the late 60s and early 70s a homeless mentally and physical sick old man , living in and driving a rental car, would quickly get the attention of PROACTIVE social workers here in Rhode Island. In vain today did my 78 year old Jewish friend Dave seek help from " progressive" Massachusetts and in the Arlington vicinity of Harvard University.
