We working class socialists can be sensitive to human tragedy in all its forms - including American combat deaths. Recall the poignant story of Ron Kovic in " Born on the Fourth of July " . Was it 30 years ago that I watched this Oliver Stone movie ? Kovic is still protesting stupid imperialist wars.
In many other articles the World Socialist Web Site notes how the " liberal " Democrats criticize Trump -even in military matters - in a decidedly RIGHT WING tone.
Respect for the plight of combat veterans should not be confused with respect for the military mission.
How would the awakened Ron Kovic have reacted to an obtuse home " patriot " telling him : " Thank you for your service " ? That is the tone of your " liberal " Democrat Representative Wilson. If hypocritical cant was made of TNT , the whole world would blow up today.
