My dear woman companion was now definitely dying of liver cancer that had spread from bone cancer. Both Roger Williams Hospital and Miriam Hospital in Providence showed little humanity in treating her pain and her mental and spiritual distress.
She was considering just medical marijuana . That was nixed.
But she did die with dignity - and as pain free as possible - at the Hope Hospice Center right near Miriam Hospital.
The hospital staff seemed clueless about how to brighten a terminal patient's " treatment " . Not so much as a warm , sympathetic smile. I guess they think you should die by the numbers ?
Your best friend in this situation just might be the NRA !
