What divides the USA fundamentally is CLASS inequality. The two party system serves the American plutocracy -and only pretends to be concerned with the special problems of various " identity " groups. Indeed the whole purpose of DNC based " identity politics " is to fragment working class consciousness. The HATE RUSSIA New McCarthyism - soon to be taken over by the Republicans - is programmed to undermine international working class solidarity. 

The very word SOCIALISM reduces the intellectual hacks of the mainstream news media to a state of mental incompetence. 

You would think that a study of History has taught them that capitalism is forever, that the American Century is forever. But economic systems are as mortal as individuals. The Founding Fathers and their American Constitution were not endowed with absolute political wisdom , good for all times. 

Nature did not make RICH PEOPLE and POOR PEOPLE. And there is nothing any CEO does or knows that entitles him or her to a swinish share of the collective wealth. We socialists have always questioned the moral legitimacy of " legitimate " wealth.
