It seems to me that FREE SPEECH in different forms is being treated more and more with punitive contempt in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Emotional intelligence would strongly suggest respect for beloved symbols - secular or religious. Kneeling for the playing of the national anthem is not less respectful than standing for it.
George Orwell observed a long time ago that the Left can be as hypocritical as the Right in this matter of free speech and intellectual freedom.
Too many individuals are being fired for WHAT THEY SAY and THOUGHT CRIME !
