Screenshot (Aug 27, 2025 5:50:55 AM) [ I wish I could light a real candle flame ( with a background smell of burnt incense ) in some darkened , quiet , empty ( except for the Holy of Holy ) old Catholic Church for all the dear people in my life who have passed away but never forgotten ]

My brother and I yesterday encountered a friend of his extremely bitter over a divorce and now bitter over women and the illusions of romantic love in general. My brother, himself divorced, filled me  in on details of his friend s marriage. We reflected on how prevalent WOKE ideology and militant feminism has poisoned the  once naturally warm hearts of the female sex. Late in life I observe that the kindest people around are old Catholic women. If a man feels that he simply must get married --with or without hot romance-I would advise him to settle for a nice old fashioned CATHOLIC girl. A sad reflection on LIFE: a person is already soul dead when he loses his capacity for affection towards human beings in general and loses that precious instinct for empathy for THE OTHER.Before WOKE traditional bourgeois marriage was already beginning to make such feelings impossible.I probably saved my emotional intelligence by remaining, perhaps a little lonely, single all my life. My special woman friend Dorene Rousseau died more than 8 years ago.I still wear the silver ring she gave me as Christmas a present. Her cousin Helen, with her name inscribed  below on Dorene's grave stone in St.Ann's Cemetery Cranston,Rhode Island, survived her at age 92 and is one of those old Polish Catholic types , the kindest people around.Helen sent me a birthday card with an ELVIS PRESLEY face image check in it for$120. I have not been able to reach Helen by phone for some time now.Helen also sent me, along with that check, a booklet of Catholic prayers. A candle is lit in my heart for dear old Helen. And for many others of the passed away but never forgotten people in my life.
