Man, I agree with you 100%. That scene was killer. Didn't know that this was Bernstein's first score. This movie gets me every time with its acting. This film and Network, particularly Beatrice Straight's performance in that film. These 2 films make a strong case for "Greatest film ever" on the movie lists. Probably my favorite Kazan film. That guy had a hell of a run back then.
