Inspired from youth by Albert Camus' sense of the Absurd, I try to be a voice for REASON in the growing darkness and moral insanity of global capitalism .

To demand truth in advertising nowadays is like standing in front of a hell-bound train. I turned on radio station WLKW-AM one dreary Sunday morning. What do I hear? Not the "world's greatest music" but the silliest of silly infomercials: Kevin Trudeau's Mega-Reading nonsense. For the benefit of the more gullible public, let me report this: Mr. Trudeau is a convicted criminal.
Among his misdeeds in the federal case, reports The Wall Street Journal (Jan. 19, 1996), "Mr. Trudeau misappropriated for his own use the credit card numbers of customers of the memory-improvement course that he offered at the time." He served nearly two years in prison for his crimes.
This infamous infomercial - now being seen on TV - Channel 10 - is an absolute disservice to the people of Rhode Island. They have been swindled enough]
