Sad QUORA story on horrible alcoholic dying

[How long does end-stage alcoholism last? Profile photo for Suzi Sparkle Suzi Sparkle Alcoholism of a parent.1y "I can only tell you what I’m watching with my mum who has suffered now with alcoholism for 15 years. (3 critically). She is now in the last stages of alcoholism and has had multiple hospital admissions, for all kinds of illness and injuries. These would include pancreatitis, broken bones, pneumonia, malnutrition, choking, severe infections. She is now doubly incontinent, has wet brain, dementia and is mostly in black out. She has lost all form of reasoning, doesn’t eat and doesn’t care. She mostly is suicidal but won’t kill herself because of her faith in God. The situation has destroyed the mental and physical health of myself and all 3 of my sisters as well as traumatising her 15 grandchildren. We have all been trying to help but are slowly realising that her death will be both a release and an act of mercy. Being that now she has had multiple rehab attempts and numerous detoxes I have resigned myself to the fact that my beautiful mummy is dying. " My heart is broken. ❤️ ]
