Nevertheless ,in a universe where everything evolves and changes the American Constitution can never be a sacrosanct , per-lucid monolith document . . Social and economic systems evolve. In the decades before the triumph of the American Revolution the ( for the working class ) nightmarish WAGE SLAVERY of the Industrial Revolution was still in its infancy . And what adventures the Constitution protected PRIVATE PROPERTY has had since . Does Corporate America today have some divine right ( implied by LAW ) to own 90 percent of the wealth ,created and natural, of the land ? And where does the American Constitution authorizes some TWO PARTY SYSTEM for all time ? Are SOCIALIST parties , in effect, outlawed ? Karl Marx pointed out way back in 1848 that bourgeois LAW does not even recognize the CLASS STRUCTURE of society . So a pauper and a drunken millionaire can get the same fine for sleeping under a bridge ! The stunning re-election of MAGA Republican Donald Trump shows to what degree THE LAW is whatever the dominant section of the country's ruling class says it is . Odd that THE LAW never gets around to abolishing war with other countries . Or to fining local governments for even allowing people to be homeless. Or to outlawing the death penalty . So one Russian revolutionary named Vladimir Lenin got THE STATE and THE LAW right in his pre-1917 pamphlet " State and Revolution " ?
