Today WAGE SLAVERY still has its many horrors. Indeed THEY seem like shameless shills for global capitalism, American imperialism, and Israeli Zionism . Has " OUR democracy " made much progress in correcting nightmarish social inequality since " The Jungle " was published ( and indeed influential ) more than a century ago ?
