Christopher Hitchens and John Haldane: Why Do We Need God

Some human beings - I suspect most human beings - " need God " as much as the New Atheist cult leader Christopher Hitchens needed alcoholic drinks and nicotine packed cigarettes . He died a drunk . I would guess that a not unkind God just put his soul somewhere in the GREAT VOID of intergalactic space . He does not need God there . But for consoling company , a signed by the Holy Ghost, copy of his book : " God is Not Great-how religion poisons everything ". That cosmic background radiation makes this " Hell " a very chilly place - near absolute zero but not lethal for pure spirits or lost souls . Is THE VOID eternal ?
