Inspired from youth by Albert Camus' sense of the Absurd, I try to be a voice for REASON in the growing darkness and moral insanity of global capitalism .

" Advance Praise for DARE TO BE KIND " ... " Lizzie Velasquez is making our culture kinder ... "
This book with the disturbing back cover is titled " Dare To Be Kind " ... " "A heartfelt and powerful treatise about the importance of being kind from first-hand experience ." - Publishers Weekly ( starred review ) . The author is Lizzie Velasquez . " Born with a rare genetic condition , Lizzie Velasquez always knew she was different... At 17 , when she came across a viral video - " World's Ugliest Woman ". Lizzie became a victim of bullying and learned and taught how to rise above it .
Near the end of the book I came across her words of " compassion " that reminded me why I hate religion bashers like fans of the " New Atheist cult " :
" Our lives have been planned , and it's far greater plan than we could ever dream of. That is one of my deepest beliefs . It's a belief that has come from the teaching of my religion , but you don't have to be Catholic or even a person of religious faith to benefit from a similar point of view ".
Lizzie is making our world kinder by " self-acceptance and everyday acts of empathy " .
Review : [" Dare to Be Kind " should be mandatory reading for everyone. It's powerful, inspirational, and will leave with hope that there is good in this world ".]
NOTE : Of course , as a longtime independent democratic socialist , I think the " good in this world " must identify the evil in this world and mobilize and organize against it " . People who see themselves as virtuous ( as kinder than thou ) can also be insufferable bullies in their own way ( who will bludgeon you with " political correctness " as the mainstream news media currently defines it).
It sounds ridiculous hearing WOKE fanatics brand good pious Catholics as " haters ".
