Advocates: New RI camera law adds extra accountability in nursing homes

The root of evil in nursing homes is not an " unprofessional " -often burnt out - health care staff. It is the FOR PROFIT system of ownership. Crude SPYING on the " help " will only further demoralize a very demoralized staff. Place a hidden audio camera on the nursing home OWNERS when they are discussing needed cuts to make their BUSINESS more profitable. Just a few years back " progressive " Rhode Island Democrats were euphoric over the passing of " Obamacare " . Finally, Senator Ted Kennedy's dream of making health care a basic human right fulfilled ? What a joke !
