Passing by the world famous Newport Mansions -with some unflattering thoughts

My friend Dave and I passed by those world famous Newport mansions on Bellevue Ave.; then we headed for scenic Ocean Drive. Dave had some unflattering thoughts about the Gilded Age American plutocracy. I recalled a scene in the movie " Doctor Zhivago " where the good doctor's family is lectured inside some grandiose Czarist era mansion. A local communist woman says: " There was room in this house for 13 families ". To which Yuri replies with some humane ambivalence : " Yes, this is more just ". And the historical equivalent of the Russian Revolution awaits old still plutocratic Newport , Rhode Island ? So many homeless people even in Newport !
