" The Elixir of Life " by Balzac . Is Satan more powerful on earth than God in heaven ?
I read this Balzac story last night . Fantastic and horrible . It seems to suggest that hateful atheism is even worse on morals than hypocritical religious piety. Is Satan more powerful on earth than God in heaven ?
