Food prices have been going up in grocery stores for months now. And meals in restaurants are outrageous in price. Truly, the capitalist profit system has a heart of stone. My brother Mike-a retired RIPTA bus driver- told me he went to Iggy's at Oakland Beach in Warwick Rhode Island with his son for a seafood dinner. More than $20 for a fish and chips lunch? Which cost only about $10 months ago. And my brother tells me that the quality of the fish was poor. The manager of Iggy's admitted that they had changed the recipe. Make - A- Buck food industry makes truth-in-advertising the exception. THE GREAT DEPRESSION of the 1930s can repeat itself in the 2020s!
