Some readers and listeners of WBUR here might recall a younger Ronald Reagan as the congenial host of the TV series General Electric Theater ( 1953- 1962 ) . The BIG MONEY was no small factor in Reagan's " conversion " from FDR liberal to Goldwater conservative in 1964.
Hollywood " liberals " are by nature politically daffy and erratic. Still it was so easy to LIKE Ronald Reagan . His last years of Alzheimer's senility was tragic and pathetic. Imagine not remembering that YOU were president of the United States ?
