. Chris Young should not be ridiculed as a " perennial kook
candidate ". The notion that a monopoly of machine Democrats is good for
working class people in Rhode Island is beyond ridiculous. Few "
progressive " types realize just how reactionary " identity politics "
can be.
If Cicilline were a friend of working class Rhode Island, he would challenge the endless cut backs by our " friend of Hillary " governor, " Wall St. Gina Raimondo." They are hurting especially poor people here and the elderly.
And if you believe in the democratic principle of majority rule, that the voice of the people rules, you will be appalled by the low voter turn out.I don't blame the voters for being so turned off -even in local politics.
I hope Bernie Sanders at least planted the seeds of " political revolution " here in Rhode Island last April by humiliating the Clinton/ Raimondo political machine.
