Dr. Ben Carson and being " well liked "
The Dr. Ben Carson surge suggests that the U.S. ruling class is now borderline apoplectic in trying to find even ONE candidate it can sell to the voters as a genuine " president of ALL the people ".
One conservative said that Carson is just skilled at this con job: getting donations for conservative causes-mostly himself ? - from elderly white gentlemen.
To be sure, we live in the golden age of the con artist and swindler. If nominated, Dr. Ben Carson might select dubious product promoter Kevin Trudeau as his vice-president. Trudeau is also " well liked ". Arthur Miller was familiar with this type.

What would Malcolm X say about this guy-another phony conservative
who profits from saying how poor people in this country are taking
advantage of the " successful " people. Like Ayn Rand, he has no problem
with insane capitalism or the greedy ONE PERCENT.
It takes CHARACTER and COURAGE to agree with " the ideas of the ruling class " ? As Marx said these ideas are the RULING ideas. Since when was ideological conformity punished in capitalist America ?
Are we to be more disturbed by black mothers getting food stamps than billionaires decrying their tax burden ?
I am not impressed with this black conservative Dr. Ben Carson. His brains are useless outside of the hospital operating room.

Toxic Chinese nationalism

Any country with the slightest pretense of following some " communist " or "
socialist " ideal would not encourage toxic nationalism-now as
dangerous in this post Cold War world as it was in August of 1914. The
unprecedented migrant crisis confirms what Karl Marx said in his
Communist Manifesto way back in 1848 : the workers of the world have no
country.
The workers of the world would much benefit from a SOCIALIST REVIVAL in China and Russia. I just read an article in the Kansas City Star that says Bernie Sanders is at least making SOCIALISM a less scary word here in the United States.
And yet Bernie is hardly more radical than Ralph Nader. I think he is even less radical than THAT MAN-Franklin D. Roosevelt.
