Why Stupid People Run the World — Machiavelli [ Ruling class leaders are not all candidates for MENSA . But STUPID they are not . ]

It is not true that stupid people run the world . The crisis of capitalism and imperialism is not explained by a STUPID ruling class with every access to " higher education ". Petty bourgeois intellectuals on the Left are inclined to dismiss annoying capitalist politicians with snarky contempt . For example , the crisis of decaying capitalism and moribund American imperialism better explains " stupid " Donald Trump, the stupid MAGA Republican Party , the stupid WOKE WARRIOR Democratic Party , than " Stupid People Run the World ". Is there a more INTELLIGENT way for the capitalist system to exploit and oppress people , to wage war , to plunder the Good Earth ? As long time democratic socialist I see no need for more INTELLIGENT exploiters and oppressors and warmongers in the global plutocracy . To be sure , they are not all candidates for MENSA ! But STUPID they are not.
