Why not just treasure the years you had and the ones you still have ? " Find strength in what remains behind " ?

How do older people cope with the feeling that no matter what they do, they have very few years to live?
The truth is, everyone should live as though death can come at any time - because it can.
I’m 68, and so many friends and loved ones were lost along the way. They didn’t all get any warning. Just gone.
Like everyone, I might have years to go, or I might go out for a coffee and pass away. Or get diagnosed with something galloping and be gone in a month.
You are counting on life to be fair, and it is not. I would love to live into my 90’s and see more of my children’s lives, but I accept I have limited control.
