Big Bang theory seems to suggest that EXISTENCE instantly popped out of NON EXISTENCE.Perhaps just this existential philosophical thought: existence struggles eternally with non existence which is what LIFE on EARTH is all about. What we call ENERGY always seeks a death- like lowest level. I like the imaginative term VIS VIVA. It contrasts to MOTIONLESS DEATH.Picture a living healthy young man accidentally falling out from the top floor window of the Empire State building.On his way down he is frantically beating heart and terrified soul--all VIS VIVA! Minutes after the fall he is a lifeless corpse. Energy of Life has found its lowest level. The only motion of body parts is invisible entropic heat motion which itself would tend toward the near absolute zero chill of intergalactic space.But happy thought: LIFE itself never dies.Like God and the Devil! A dead pigeon in dreary Kennedy Plaza.But Platonic THE PIGEON lives on.Not even hard liquor or LSD inspired this thought!
