I pass downtown, notice the now vacated URI Extension Library.Around the corner the out of business vacant building of the once often visited Cellar Stories Book Store.Then the always depressing" Living Dead" scene in Kennedy Plaza RIPTA bus station , Providence Rhode Island.My neighbor here at Randall Manor, Cranston ,Rita, Zeoli ,age 92, found " unresponsive" in her apartment by her son Chuck.My old friend Helen Worden,cousin of my dead woman companion Dorene Rousseau, Helen also 92 not answering the phone for weeks .Both Rita and Helen may be in some God forsaken nursing home.My brother Robert Ruggieri,age 74, in hospice care in rural Maine ,
not always in the mood for phone calls. " In Life We Are In Death!". Perhaps the scariest horror story I ever read was Stephen King 's " Pet Sematary".But that focused on the tragic accidental death of a toddler, revived only by supernatural EVIL.
