Evangelical Christians in the United States: What Do They Believe?

@Theantinarc 1 day ago (edited) We do not teach critical thinking skills to young people in the US The WE who might teach " critical thinking skills " , high school teachers and college professors, are restrained and intimidated by what Karl Marx described way back in 1848 as " the ideas of the ruling class " ... and therefore the ruling ideas. Imagine teaching " critical thinking " about the burning controversies of the day : global capitalism, American imperialism , and Israeli Zionism ? Oh how SUBVERSIVE ! So confine your " critical thinking skills " to ridiculing mostly EVANGELICAL Christianity ( Elmer Gantry on TV ) . Most of the world's great religions, like Catholicism , made their peace with modern science more than a century ago. Indeed a Belgian Catholic priest and cosmologist named Georges Lemaitre , who caught the attention and finally the approval of Albert Einstein, was a pioneer in understanding the Creation of the Universe ". The New Atheist Cult definitely has a right wing political agenda even when speaking in the voice an " Atheist-Leftist " .
