Sam Harris: Arguments against religion - Part 5

Ubiquitous on YouTube lately , the obnoxious New Atheists add nothing new to the now centuries old Science vs. Religion debate. In recent decades it has ceased to be a polite, civil, scholarly debate . The on the road " Voice of Science " New Atheism , MAKE-A-BUCK road show has a decidedly hysterical tone : foaming at the mouth God Hating intellectual, unbalanced college sophomore drivel. Also, the politically literate among the working class Left cannot fail to notice that the leaders of this vociferous New Atheism cult have a definite political agenda : They are ALL shills for Zionist APARTHEID Israel, for American imperialism , and for global capitalism . Not one democratic SOCIALIST among them. I read somewhere that " Socialism is anti-Semitic " . I guess that explains it ! I have read some scathing criticism of New Atheist Islamophobe Sam Harris on the " World Socialist Web Site ". I myself am an independent democratic socialist of the Old Catholic school ( Dorothy Day perhaps ? ) . NOTE : Lately New Atheism cult propaganda has dishonestly welcomed the ghosts of Carl Sagan and Isaac Asimov to their roadshow team. I life both were unapologetic atheists but with a Socialist-Humanism tone. Carl Sagan wrote in " The Demon Haunted World " about smuggling a copy of Leon Trotsky's " History of the Russian Revolution " into post- communist Russia. Isaac Asimov was sardonic about APARTHEID Israel ( He thought it would never know a day of peace surrounded by dispossessed and oppressed Palestinians ) .
