Democratic socialists, including hard core Marxists inspired by the logic of " dialectical materialism ", were never inclined to oppose technical progress . But consider how Artificial Intelligence wisely applied can, without even " consulting " Mark's Das Kapital , revolutionize the capitalist economy in the interest of ALL the people. If mere machines -not yet self conscious and chauvinistic - can do most of the once back breaking and mind numbing WORK , and even a lot of the once HIGH IQ work - then what could possibly be a bright future for the capitalist FOR PROFIT economy and sacrosanct PRIVATE PROPERTY rights ? The ONE PERCENT plutocracy that just OWNS everything but they themselves do nothing and in fact think NOTHING - are not THEY too just as obsolete as many home industry workers during the early Industrial Revolution ? What happens to BUYING and SELLING when nearly everybody is unemployed ? UTOPIAS are all dead ? But long live the UTOPIAN VISION ! At least the stupefied idle can play games and daydream : like EVERYONE A LOTTERY WINNER !
