Amusing JAZZY visit to New York City when it was just beginning to pull out of the Great Depression in the late 1930s. Can a city with so much collective vitality -so much human ENERGY on display 24 hours a day ever go into complete decline ? The WHOLE is so much greater than the parts. Hard to believe that a finite number of workers can build to completion the Empire State Building in a finite amount of time. To be sure, New York City did not build itself. Even if the UNIVERSE popped out of nowhere and nothing ( if you believe that ! ).The collective power of ORGANIZED LABOR( mental and physical ) ! TOGETHER we humans amount to something .
