I could not find anything morally outrageous about President Trump's position on gathering reputation ruining " information " on political opponents whatever the source. You can read foreign newspapers in translation or in the original language .
Or you can call the National Enquirer to get the " dirt " on anybody insolent enough to be well known and ambitious- and a potential rival.
The reference department of any public library is most certainly surveyed by the FBI . And consider the source of any " dirt " : for example , Israeli Intelligence providing Senator Chuck Schumer with a list of known anti-Zionists ( and therefore anti-Semites ) in the Congress of the Unites States.
How many closet white supremacists and closet homophobes and closet climate change deniers out there as " persons of interest " to the neo-liberal , politically correct FBI ?
The editors of the New York Times are all ears - whatever the source.
But it is the " liberal " Democrats today who are slobbering over the reformed ( pro-Hillary, non-partisan in 2016 FBI) - reformed from the sneaky ways of J.Edgar Hoover .
These very ILLIBERAL LIBERALS will quickly turn YOU ( a miserable " hater " ) in. Such is " OUR democracy " !
@Kineridge What stuck me was the hypocrisy to think any truly PATRIOTIC American politician would turn a deaf ear to any negative " information " about a political opponent , would not hesitate to CALL THE FBI ! One need not look for foreign sources to get credible " dirt " on ANY ambitious American politician. Who would censor the Internet ? Ask the venerable National Enquirer to " get the dirt " on your favorite presidential candidate.
